Background

Nicholas J. De Blouw was born in Detroit, Michigan.  He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Wayne State University, summa cum laude, in 2008 and his Juris Doctor degree from California Western School of Law, cum laude, in 2011.  During law school, Mr. De Blouw was an Associate Editor of the California Western Law Review and authored Drowning Policies: A Proposal to Modify the Dublin Agreement and Reduce Human Rights Abuses in the Mediterranean, 40 Cal. W. Int’l L.J. 335-368 (2010).  He was admitted to the California State Bar in December of 2011.

 

Mr. De Blouw joined Blumenthal Nordrehaug Bhowmik De Blouw LLP after clerking at a large nationwide firm that represented consumers and investors against large corporations in complex class actions.  He now represents individuals and large classes of employees in wage and hour class actions.
